Talofa Lava, I was born in Samoa, and come from the villages of Satapuala in Upolu and Sataua in Savaii. I arrived in Aotearoa as part of the second migration of Pacific Islanders to the land of milk and honey. WE migrated to Aotearoa because of our parents desire to give us the best opportunity in life and I will forever be grateful to them for giving me this opportunity.
I am a fully qualified Chartered accountant of New Zealand (CA) and a Certified Practicing Accountant of Australia (CPA). I am a member of both CAANZ and the CPA College of Australia. I hold a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Marketing, Graduate diploma in Professional Accounting, NZ Diploma in Business majoring in Marketing and NZ Institute of Management diploma in Management.
I have worked in the Accounting field for over 15 years both in the Government sector and in public practice. Before starting WE Accounting & Business Services I was an Audit Senior at RSM Prince for 4 years and previous to that an Auditor for the Inland Revenue Department for 2 years in Wellington and then Auckland.
Before embarking on an Accounting Career I spent 4 years working in Sales and Marketing.I built up both my Accounting and Marketing skill base working on diverse commercial and government sector clients, including Manufacturing businesses, Retail and public sector entities.
I am the father of 5 sons. Now retired from Rugby, I follow my sons around the rugby field and basketball courts. I am a loyal Auckland Blues supporter as well as the NZ Warriors. I enjoy all NZ sports, like to go camping with my family, travelling abroad, the occasional game of golf and supporting my sons in all that they undertake. I love working with people and helping to find solutions for their businesses and to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
