Pacific Business Trust

WE are a Preferred Service Provider for the Pacific Business Trust. Pacific Business Trust partners and collaborates with trusted external organisations, like us, to deliver services and offerings to Pacific business customers on their behalf.

To access funding for our services from PBT you will need to Register to become a member of the PBT Community. Contact WE to discuss your needs and we can offer you a quote to take to PBT for assessment and eligibility

Here is the PBT Process:

  • Sign up via their website here
    • If you’re already a member, you might be able to login and request assistance through their portal
  • Once contacted, a PBT Advisor will reach out for a discovery call
    • This is where you can say that you’re interested in our Business Advisory programmes at WE Mana.
  • They will then schedule a 3-way call between you, us and them.
  • A tailored proposal is sent to PBT
  • Reviewed by yourself to see if you’re happy with the proposed services
  • Proposal is accepted
  • PBT works in the background allocating, securing and signing off on funding.

Regional Business Partners Network

Regional Business Partner Network connects you to the right advice, people and resources. Funded by the New Zealand government, the RBP Network consists of a number of regional growth agencies throughout the country.

Since WE are a Registered Service Provider WE can work directly with business owners across Aotearoa. Registering is a simple process through their website - but make sure you have your NZ Business Number on hand.

Our funded programmes are:

Here’s the RBPN process:

  1. Register with the RBPN here
  2. A RBPN growth advisor will reach out for a discovery session to identify your needs.
  3. They will develop an action plan for, and with you.
  4. You can mention that you are looking to work with WE Mana, a registered RBPN service provider and are wanting to embark on our He Kākano/Pūtea programme.
  5. From there, the growth advisor will request a proposal from us.
  6. WE will action this and handle all the back-end tasks.
  7. The growth advisor will review our proposal.
  8. If accepted, we will send a 50% invoice for the programme and begin work.

Poutama

Poutama is an independent charitable trust established in 1988. It provides business development services to Māori. Poutama is reasonably flexible on the types of activities they can support. The main thing for you to be aware of is how a grant will positively impact and help grow your business.

There are criteria for this fund:

  • Key Criteria - Available on a 50-50 basis up to a maximum of $10,000.
  • Lifetime - A business can apply up to three times or receive a maximum of $30,000 over their business lifetime.
  • Māori ownership - At least 50 percent.
  • Operations - Your business has been operating for more than 12 months.
  • Documentation - A business plan and financial statements.
  • Annual turn-over - At least $80,000.
